Acceptance of these terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Gastón (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

The Service

Gastón is a personal expense-management application that helps you record, categorize, and review your spending across web and mobile. Features include budgets, recurring expenses, installment plans, multi-currency tracking, and AI-assisted expense capture.

Your account

To use most features you must create an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
• Keep your password and device secure, and not share your credentials.
• Be responsible for all activity that happens under your account.
• Notify us promptly at maxivarela@gmail.com if you suspect any unauthorized use of your account.

Acceptable use

When using the Service, you agree not to:

• Break any applicable law or infringe anyone’s rights.
• Attempt to access, probe, or disrupt the Service, its servers, or other users’ data without authorization.
• Reverse engineer, scrape, or overload the Service beyond ordinary personal use.
• Upload content that is unlawful or that you do not have the right to store.

Your data

Your expense data belongs to you. You can export it or permanently delete your account and its associated data at any time from within the app. Our handling of your information is described in our Privacy Policy.

AI-assisted capture

When you use AI-assisted capture, the text you submit is sent to our AI provider solely to extract structured expense details (such as amount, merchant, and category). No account identifiers are sent with it. AI suggestions may be inaccurate — you are responsible for reviewing and confirming each entry before saving.

No financial advice

Gastón is a tracking and organization tool. It does not provide financial, tax, accounting, or investment advice, and nothing in the Service should be relied upon as such. You are responsible for your own financial decisions.

Availability and warranties

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that data will always be available, though we make reasonable efforts to keep it running and to back up data.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Gastón and its operator will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data or profits, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service.

Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or use the Service in a way that could harm other users or the Service itself.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
